NOT IN MY NAME
Local artist Phoebe Ryrko found a way to respond to to the horrific situation Gaza through painting portraits of some people in her community. The aim is to support Palestine people through creativity.
The first painting, called, “The Gift” is about the innocence and goodness that is at the heart of being human, before we are corrupted. As the atrocities multiplied the portraits she was painting became testimonies of solidarity with Palestinians.
The artist, and the people who have generously given their time to sit and be painted, along with Secure Scotland and the community at Words and Actions all hope that visitors will be able to open their hearts and their purses to help the Palestinian people
